The hard work paid off
It was not an easy day for the Race Committee and the sailors, but the trouble ahead could not have been foreseen.
Thick dark clouds with heavy thunder arrived around 10 in the morning ruining the day’s plan and causing a 4-hour delay in schedule. The wind did not make it any easier afterwards as the direction shifted multiple times during the race, forcing the committee to abandon racing, reset the racecourse and start over.
All in all, the hard work paid off with 2 races for both fleets and a split into gold and silver fleets for tomorrow.
It will be Alexandros Kalpogiannakis in the Youth Men and Giorgia Speciale in the Youth Women fleets with the yellow lycras tomorrow.
First possible warning signal at 10:00
